We left Gengenbach and drove to the Moselle/Mosel valley. We stayed in a small village called Valwig. The apartment overlooked the Moselle/Mosel. The owners grew their own grapes and made their own wine. The also owned a small wine bar where they served their own wine and some delicious food.
We had the top floor apartment (or 'the penthouse' as we liked to call it ;-)) and had fabulous views of the valley.
