Salem

Salem was first settled in 1626 by a bunch of disgruntled Europeans.  Although Salem has played an important role in the history of the state of Massachusetts it is best known for the Salem Witch Trials in 1692 which resulted in the death of fourteen women and five men.  Arthur Miller's The Crucible dramatizes these events.

I really didn't spend enough time here to do it justice.  Definitely worth a future visit.
