Mark and I went to the Ribe Tulip Festival on Saturday. Now there are two key things one needs to know about Ribe Tulip Festival before one sets out:
1. It is in Ribe.
2. There are no tulips.
Yes, I will repeat that. There are no tulips. Which goes some way to explaining why there are no photographs attached to this blog. Ribe Tulip Festival has nothing whatsoever to do with tulips; it is more about the time of year. Why do they not call it a Spring Festival? I hear you cry. I've no idea. It's just the way it is, welcome to Jutland.
We enquired at the Tourist Information Centre who informed us that plastic tulips may, again I say MAY, be used on the floats during the carnival parade on the Monday.
Never a dull moment in the land of the Danes ;-)
