Christmas in Tistrup

For the first time in I don't know how long Mark and I made an executive decision not to travel back to the UK for Christmas.  While I know my lovely mother-in-law was disappointed, she understood that we needed a change.

Dad came over to join in the festivities and we had a lovely time.  Mark went out and hacked down a real tree.

Unfortunately I was subjected to several days of 'I'm a Lumberback' songs *sigh*.

Downtown Varde got the deccies out, and very fine it looked too.

The folks of Varde also decorate their houses, businesses and public buildings with Santas and I guess you might call them elfs or maybe Santa's helpers.  It really is rather cute:

We all did rather well on the pressie front.  Muttley got a jumper from my sister-in-law.  Suffice to say this is the one and only time he will be wearing it!
