This year's Midsummer celebration was spent at our landlord's house with Grazyna and Rainer from Germany.
Karl busied himself with the barbecue and Grazyna supervised :-)
Traditional mid-summer songs were sung, but obviously not by us!
Grazyna made friends with some of the other guests.
And Mark tried to keep his eyes open while being photographed.
Preparing to burn the witch and send her back to Germany (fortunately Grazyna and Rainer were not offended).
There she goes.
Pooch seemed unimpressed :-)

Yay the pagan Midsummer celebrations! Here in the south, they have "St. John the Baptist" day on or about Midsummer and they also light bonfires. That way you can have a pagan celebration without the Catholic Church getting upset!
ReplyDeletePoor Ollie doesn't look too pleased, though!
