Pi$$ up in a Brewery

My chum Mahalia, whom I have mentioned before - the one with the brewery, celebrated her 30th birthday recently (pause for a panic as that makes me easily old enough to be her mother!!)  She organised an Eighties themed party to which we were invited (perhaps I should make the point it was 1980's not 1880's <g>).

After some serious research I opted for a Flashdance inspired ensemble; Mark decided to go as Sonny Crockett from Miami Vice.  I raided H+M in Kingston for various bits and pieces; Mark bought an outfit from a fancy dress website and we were good to go.

0051, Licensed to Thrill (probably more Basildon Bond that James Bond methinks)

I think it is fair to say that we look utterly ridiculous! <g>

And just to show Ollie wasn't left out:

This is Ollie as 'Brain' with Inspector Gadget and Penny (I have no idea what I have just typed, but there you have it).

  1. My first thought before reading the text was "Why is Mark dressed as John Travolta?"

Having clicked on the second photo to make sure your hair is as fantastically '80s on a big pic as it looks on a little one, I'm still laughing.

You do look ridiculous, but wonderfully so! Those of us who wouldn't have dared go out in leggings in the '80s are breathless with admiration that you can do it now. Well done Ollie for your Mum's incredibly shapely rear-end!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. I didn't wear leggings in the eighties either and I doubt I will be wearing them again. I was frozen. The hair is a masterpiece of curling brush application and hairspray! I had forgotten how long my hair used to take.

  3. Why, oh why, did Ollie not attend as Dogtanian or one of the Muskehounds?

  4. He did, he was Inspector Gadget's dog, Brain :-). I'll see if I can find a photo.

  5. Ollie's facial expression clearly illustrates that he is the Brain and that he regards Inspector Gadget as a numpty of the first water!!

  6. BTW, on the hair question, those of us who used to wait while you destroyed the ozone layer before going out will never forget how long it used to take! But hey, "you're worth it"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
