or not.
I know nothing about mushrooms. They come pre-packed in the supermarket which is fine with me. However, towards the end of last year there were loads in the forest behind our house and some were jolly pretty. I heard a story on the radio about the time I took these photos about how the number one mushroom expert in the world married the number two mushroom expert in the world. Unfortunately they both died, yes - you guessed it - from eating poisoned mushrooms. I don't know if it's true but it does have a pleasing symmetry about it. Unless, if course, you are the couple in question.
Anyway, mushroom photos ...................

I particularly liked the bottom one as it reminds me of a poppadom <g>.
Wow! What a great selection!
ReplyDeleteLike you, I know nothing about them, so prefer not to meddle. Which is a cause of huge frustration, as I often come across mushers while out walking The Hairy One, but I'm never sure if they're edible, so I leave well alone.
In France, rumour has it, that if you take a basket of wild mushrooms into any pharmacy, the pharmacist will test them to see if they're poisonous or not, thus rendering you fairly sure of what you can or can't eat. Is it the same in Denmark?
