Dad and I went over to Fanø to check out the kite on 16th June. Ollie, obviously, came too :-)
It lasts about a week and is a very popular event. Apparently people come from all over the world to show and fly their kites. Most of them are unique designs and handmade by the people who are flying them. They were all amazing.
Dad was impressed but would have been happier if it hadn't been windy!
No complaints about the Fanø local brew though :-).
I suspect that paternal dissatisfaction with the wind meant that too long was spent watching kites flying in it and not long enough at the pub!
