Project Pooch

Mark and I have finally bitten the bullet and decided to get a dog.  I have wanted one for years but Mark has not always been keen, partly because of our lifestyle and partly because he has never had a pet before.  (I have just been informed that his sister had two goldfish!)

We decided that we wanted a small dog, this was confirmed after out stint with Seb after he wore us out!  The breed of choice therefore is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel:  small, sociable, relatively easy to train and I just love those floppy ears.  We went out to a puppy farm a few weeks ago and fell in love with a three week old ruby dog, currently called Felix (who will be re-named Ollie as soon as he arrives.  Ollie will also have to learn English too, poor pup!)  If all goes well we will be collecting Ollie on 19 February.  Just wondering if a certain hotelier in France accepts pets ............... :-)

Felix (soon to be Ollie) clambering all over mum

Mum, who likes having her photo taken.  Dived into most of the shots!

This is actually Felix/Ollie's sister who was much more co-operative about having her photo taken.  But they look much the same <g>

  1. Ha! I knew it wouldn't be long.....

Ollie is already uber-cute - are you sure you can stand the competition?

I know a fantastic B&B in the south of France that is extremely pet friendly - as evidenced by the fact that I always have a supply of dog biscuits in the pantry even though we don't have a dog!!
