Marc Bolan

Been having a bit of a 'retro' phase lately wrt music.  I stopped listening to music years ago and I am not sure why so I have been trying to make a point of listening to something at least every day.  Recent favoured CDs have been Mr B, the other 'other' Mr B (Bowie) and Miss Bush, as in Kate (can you tell the CD rack is organised alphabetically? <g>  I have no idea what is in today's charts and, sadly, no desire to find out.  There was a time when I could tell you the entire top twenty and what was likely to be in a future top twenty.  Somewhere along the line I lost interest and I can't remember when or why.  Still, I am rather enjoying my blast in the past.  Off to Ride a White Swan to find my Metal Guru or my 20th Century Boy <g>

  1. Could it be that you lost interest when everything in the charts was a crappy cover version by a boy band of something that you were used to hearing done much better by someone more interesting? Just a thought!

It sounds to me as though you and Kevin would be more than happy locked away with the hi-fi together - he's a HUGE fan of Bowie and of Kate Bush.

Not bothered about either myself. For once, I think the cover version was more fun than the original
