Housewarming Party

Why do I do this to myself?  Every time I organise a party I regret it.  Every time I organise a party I promise myself that I won't do it again.  So here I am at Oh My God It's Early hours writing in my blog because today is the day of our housewarming party.

The tent arrived on Wednesday just as the temperatures plummeted; it is perishing out there.  I am told that the heaters we have hired will keep it warm inside.  I just hope that they are right as people are going to go home with frostbite.  The idiot entertainer is now threatening not to do provide music for the Scottish dancing that I have now told everyone we will be doing.  He appears to be unaware that this was the brief.  To be fair, I can believe this is possible as it was evident in each and every one of our four conversations that he prefers to talk rather than listen!  Oh, and it is quite possible that there will be gale winds tonight - large green and white kite anyone?  Hey ho!

Excellent, it's 6 a.m. and it has just started whazzing down.  Is it too early to have a drink? ;-)

  1. I missed the party! Had to go back to the UK to supervise the loading of our pathetic one hundred and a bit boxes onto a removal van.
It sounded like the lead up was VERY exciting. Have you got any photos of the drenched, frozen dancers trying to strip the willow to Danish techno whilst the tent blew away?

P.S. On the grounds that after the party it wouldn't have been too late for another drink, before the party 6 a.m. can't be too early for a drink.
